Arya Awards

The ARYA Award for 2025

Each year the Los Angeles and Orange County Audio Society bestows two Audiophile Recording of the Year Awards to recognize recordings released during the prior year that reflect the best accomplishment in both artistic performance and recording fidelity.

The Society’s Blue-Ribbon Judging Panel

The judging panel is led by Dr. David Robinson, Editor of Positive Feedback, as the Society’s Executive Vice President and Award Committee Chairman. Panel members include Senior Vice President Michael Fremer of Stereophile, Vice President Paul Seydor of The Absolute Sound, audiophiles Gaurav Vij and Dean Seislove, and Lifetime Member Dan Meinwald. You simply can’t get better than that!

The Criteria

One award is for the best newly recorded performance and a second is for the best re-issue. Any type of media can be considered (LP, CD, tape, download, etc.). These are the only awards of their kind that are judged by a panel of experienced audiophiles. Nominations for the 2024 ARYA awards are now open. Any recordings released from October 2023 to September 2024 in either category are eligible for recognition.  A recording you recommend has to be submitted (in the nominated media type) to the panel by September 30, 2024 to be considered.   

Submission Guidelines

Send the appropriate album media, software, or links in the highest resolution to Dr. David Robinson, 9388 S.E. Hunters Bluff Avenue, Happy Valley, OR 97086, USA. Please include the producer, artist, and their contact information and note that no software will be returned. Winners will be announced at the Society’s 2024 Holiday Gala on December 8, 2024.
